What is Sublimation?
By definition, sublimation is the transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas phase without passing through the intermediate liquid phase.
Sublimation Printing is a type of a digital printing technique that utilises this process with ink and synthetic fibers. Ink is transferred from a solid state. The artwork is printed first to a paper while applying heat & pressure the print is transferred into a gas state which allows the molecules to become embedded into the fibres of the fabric.
In more technical terms, a sublimation printing uses a sublimation printer which employs a printing process that uses heat to transfer dye. It is also known as heat transfer or paper print.
