Adidas was the leading kit supplier at the 2018 World Cup representing 12 nations.  It was the first company to put its brand logo on the World Cup and has been the dominant national team sponsor for decades. Puma

Puma supplied 3 nations which were Senegal, Switzerland, and Uruguay. Historically Puma has done well with World Cup sponsorships in 2006, 2010, and 2014 with 12, 7, and 8 teams respectively. 

New Balance

New Balance supplied 2 nations, namely Costa Rica and Panama. After experiencing 2 successful years, New Balance took part in their first World Cup. New Balance has enjoyed an excellent start to the football sponsorship industry, becoming the official sponsors of back to back Scottish champions Celtic, the successful Spanish side Seville and the Champions League finalists, Liverpool.

Umbro

Umbro sponsored 2 teams. Umbro’s Double Diamonds featured on the jerseys of Peru and Serbia. Since the 1974 tournament, Umbro added more teams at every tournament with the exception of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. They have sponsored 22 teams over the course of the tournament history with England and Scotland being their primary sponsored nations.

Hummel sponsored Denmark and has appeared at 4 World Cups. The Danish company was the national team sponsor from 1926 to 2004 and again from 2016 to the present. It was the team’s jersey for the Red-White at 1986, 1998, 2002 World Cups and again for the 2018 World Cup in Russia

Brazil to date is the most successful nation winning the world cup 5 times since its inception in 1930. The team will wear a darker shade of yellow during the tournament. Argentina

The two-time winners will be keen to win after losing in 2014 to Germany in Brazil. The new uniforms will have three sky blue stripes on the front and back with a classic white ribbed V-neck and white sleeves. The soccer badge features the Argentinean flag and two stars. The letters AFA stand for “Asociacion del Futbol Argentina” and also commemorates the AFA’s 125 year anniversary.

Germany

No nation has played more World Cup matches than Germany - 106 in total. They have scored more goals (124) and conceded (121) goals during the tournament. The classic black and white look is back, with dropped shoulder cut lines highlighting a gold world cup winner badge inside the collar. Their badge features four stars with a circular design highlighting the nation’s famous “Federal Eagle”. The three stripes across the bottom of the circle are black, red and yellow.  The badge will receive a monochromatic treatment for this year’s World Cup.

England
